Jeff, we'd suggest you try the OpenSolaris distribution, which can be directly downloaded at http://genunix.org (build 107 was released today). It's got a simpler installer and is tested more extensively in VM environments. The SXCE distribution shown in your screenshot here is being phased out and we're generally not investigating installation problems with it too closely unless they evidence a general problem with the OS.

Jennifer, What kind of details are you looking for? Are you referring to the previous comment by Antonio, or on the post itself?

The version of VI that is supplied by Solaris does not support viewports. Tested in Solaris 9 and 10. Vim is included on the Solaris Companion CD (http://wwws.sun.com/software/solaris/freeware/) or from Sunfreeware.com (http://www.sunfreeware.com)

My only thought was, how could you live with an editor that didn't do that?

[...] So it just goes to show that if you can’t go to St. Louis, the people will still come out. That’s right, our second Tweetup in St. Charles county area was a success. Before you read my take on it though, I’d like you to read Jeff’’s Tweetup post.
Jeff,

I second Todd's (@tojosan) opinion. Great post that isn't too basic for people that are familiar with Twitter, but I think would help those hearing about it for the first time understand what it is all about.

I'm planning to do a story on Twitter in my next newsletter, and will be linking to this post. Figure on a bunch of hits in a few weeks.
